What is Cranial Healing?

"Still the body, still the mind, still the voice inside; in silence, feel the Stillness move.
Dear friends, this feeling cannot be imagined." -Kabir

At a deep level our living body-mind matrix subtly "breathe" with the motion of life - a phenomenon that produces rhythmic movements, referred as "breath of life".

Craniosacral Work focuses on "breath of life" and by taking a whole-person approach to healing and the inter-connections of mind, body and spirit.

The foundation of my Cranial Healing practice is based on using Stillness and Ancient Vedik Wisdom to enliven the inner-intelligence of body-mind-spirit and restore health and wellness by harmonizing the movement of inner-winds or Pranas (Life-force).

Traditional eastern healing systems view living being as an intricately woven system of energies (Prana or Qi) in which our consciousness dwells.

Ultimately it's the 'dweller' (or consciousness) that gives the purpose to the living form, however, the bio-energy that integrates and animates all the elements in the living being is the Prana.

Prana is a Sanskrit word that roughly translates to 'life-force' or 'breath of life'. Prana is both the physical breath and the subtle life energy of the body. In different cultures this is referred by different names: Chi(Qi), Barak, Mana, , Energy, etc.

Source of every movement is stillness, a wheel moves forward because it's center is still. The movement is imbalanced when it's center is off-balance. The dis-ease, in traditional healing systems, is caused by the imbalances in the movement of pranas within the individual or between the individual and the cosmos.

Wellness can be restored by harmonizing the free flow of prana by restoring it's center of movement. Cranial Healing helps in releasing chronic stress, pain and energy blockages. It promote vitality, relaxation and healing. It is an effective form of treatment for a wide range of illnesses helping to create the optimal conditions for health, encouraging vitality and facilitating a sense of well-being.
